There Was No Crime — Trump Convicted of a Non-Crime
On Thursday, Alan Dershowitz, a law professor at Harvard University, renowned litigator, and author, commented on the Trump verdicts, which he believes were influenced by a deceitful court, a biased, anti-Trump jury, and an illegal, corrupted judge.
Dershowitz highlighted the question on everyone’s mind – the criminal activity in which President Trump is implicated remains unknown.
Recently, as the Democratic team’s trial against President Trump neared its end, the prosecutors had not yet clearly recognized the supposed prohibited action that President Trump was implicated in devoting. Nonetheless, the court seemed prepared to convict Trump and enforce a prison sentence.
Corrupt anti-Trump Judge Juan Merchan told the jury throughout instructions before their consideration that they could consider whether the offender violated any of the following laws:
1. Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (FECA) (federal election project law).
2. Falsification of Business Records.
3. Tax Laws
Judge Merchan advised the jury that they didn’t have to determine the specific offense. Still, instead, they were only required to be persuaded that a crime occurred to deliver a guilty verdict against President Trump. This instruction was a blatant distortion of the justice system, marking among the most egregious miscarriages of justice in American history.
We still do not know what the jury chose. We still don’t know what crime was committed. It’s been 2 days now, and the court has not specified what law was broken. The judge and jury never informed us!
Alan Dershowitz pointed this out on Friday.
Alan Dershowitz: I wish to state today that I agree with President Trump’s assessment of the judicial system more than President Biden’s evaluation. I’m a liberal Democrat. I chose Biden. Biden is dead incorrect. We need not to appreciate the rigged legal system. In my book, Get Trump, I forecasted months before this case ever pertained to trial that it was a foregone conclusion there’d be a conviction. A biased judge, a biased jury, a prejudiced prosecutor, a man who ran for office on the theory of, let’s discover, a criminal offense to prosecute Trump for, and they couldn’t find the crime, so they made it up.
We’re now a day after the verdict. I’ve understood criminal law. I’ve been involved in criminal law for 60 years. I still don’t know what the criminal offense is. Was he found guilty of intending to violate tax laws, break federal election laws, and defraud voters? I still don’t know. And we’re a day after this. This is the most outrageous case. Everybody understands the quote from Lavrentiy Beria, the head of the KGB under Stalin, when Beria stated to Stalin, “Show me the man and I’ll find you the criminal activity.”.
Professor Emeritus Dershowitz is advocating for the Supreme Court to reverse this case.
Alan Dershowitz proposes a speedy appeals procedure, bypassing the intermediate stage and taking the case straight to the most significant state court. He recommends requesting an accelerated review with a decision within 30 days, followed by an appeal to the US Supreme Court. Dershowitz believes the Supreme Court should hear the case, reverse the conviction, and allow the electorate to pick their president devoid of the influence of an illegal prosecution.
For the future of this nation to have any possibility, we should reverse this disgraceful scenario. Judge Merchan must be held accountable for manipulating the legal system for his own advantage and must be the one dealing with jail time.
