The Strange Death of Jack Ruby
On January 3, 1967, Jack Ruby, aka Jack Rubenstein, the Dallas nightclub owner who killed the alleged assassin of President John F. Kennedy, passed away from lung cancer in a Dallas healthcare facility at age 56. The Texas Court of Appeals had recently overturned his death sentence for the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald and arranged to give him a new trial.
He passed away from a quick onset of cancer. He was kept in a singular cell without any contact to the outside world.
Ruby said he eliminated Oswald because he was distressed over JFK’s assassination. Some called him a hero, but he was charged with First Degree Murder.
Ruby had connections to organized crime.
The Warren Commission concluded that Oswald and Ruby were not associated with a broader conspiracy.
Your House Select Committee on Assassinations launched an initial report in 1978 specifying that Kennedy was likely killed as part of a conspiracy that could have included more than one shooter and connections to organized crime.

A provocative question has long been disputed: did the Mafia and CIA work together in the 1963 assassination of President John F. Members of America’s top-secret spy company and known trig-germen for the Mafia were supposedly observed on the scene when the fatal shooting occurred. Several CIA representatives and at least one member of the Mafia were allegedly taken into custody soon after the shooting ceased however were quickly launched by Dallas police– a particular area when JFK was cut down.
Just a handful of experts believe it’s possible that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in releasing the hail of bullets that targeted the president’s exposed vehicle … Meanwhile, a growing number of people are convinced that Oswald was simply a scapegoat, framed to take the fall for a carefully orchestrated assassination. Current belief recommends that Oswald might have been silenced to prevent him from revealing information. Jack Ruby, who murdered Oswald, had connections to criminal elements. Witnesses allege that photos show E. Howard Hunt and Frank Sturgis, both former CIA agents and Watergate figures, were at the scene of JFK’s assassination.
A person with a lengthy criminal history was found in a photo taken near the governmental motorcade. Eugene Hale Brading, who had a criminal record dating back to 1934, was reportedly connected to James (The Weasel) Frattiano, a popular Mafia member related to gangland murders and part of the “Smaldones Family” in Denver. In 1963, Brading, who was on parole at the time, resided in Los Angeles. He mentioned he was an oil prospector and was approved by his parole officer to take a trip to Dallas for company functions.
He was set up to be in Dallas only for Nov. 21, according to records.’ He was supposed to be in Houston on Nov. 22, the day JFK was shot. Why did he stay in Dallas? It is understood he did go to the workplaces of a substantial- oil business on Nov. 21. It was later admitted by Jack Ruby that he checked out those offices on the same day. Did they meet each other, and did they satisfy by a pre-arranged plan? And did they speak of the assassination which was to occur the following day?
Ruby informed the Warren Commission that he visited the Hunt Oil Company workplaces on Nov. 21 to get a job for an appealing co-ed called Connie Trammel. The Commission did not connect Ruby’s visit with Brad-had given a phony name and story when questioned by the FBI just after the shooting.
This coincidence did not emerge till years later through the efforts of concerned private citizens, headed by Dallas pharmaceutical salesman Al Chapman.
New information suggests that JFK’s presidency may have been threatened by the CIA and organized crime due to the sensitive circumstances surrounding Cuba throughout that era. According to reports, the younger leader presumably checked out the idea of removing Cuban leader Fidel Castro with a relied-on confidant, Senator George A. Smathers of Florida, on several occasions in 1961 and 1962.
Despite the current discovery that the CIA had a history of involvement in assassination plots throughout the Caribbean, he stayed absolutely opposed to the idea and refused to amuse it.
The conversations between JFK and Smathers are supposedly consistent in the oral history archives of the Kennedy Library.
“As I remember,” Smathers began, “he (Kennedy) was tossing out an excellent barrage of concerns– he was specific that. It could be achieved … “The question was whether or not it would accomplish that’ which he wanted it to do, whether or not the reaction throughout South America would be good or bad … And American people‘ react, would the people be gratified?
