Democratic Mississippi Representative Bennie Thompson introduced a bill in April that intended to get rid of previous President Trump’s Secret Service defense, well in advance of the shooting event at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, over the weekend.

The following Democrats are co-sponsoring the bill, as per the release: Reps. Troy A. Carter Sr., Barbara Lee, Frederica Wilson, Yvette Clarke, Bonnie Coleman, Jasmine Crockett, Joyce Beatty, and Steve Cohen, all Democrats.
