In a letter addressed to both the American people and Joe Biden, Governor Greg Abbott (R) detailed and clarified his own jurisdiction along with the jurisdiction of the United States. However, before diving into these matters, let us rewind to the year 1787. At the Constitutional Convention, a sixty-four-thousand-dollar question occurred: What are the limits of states’ rights, and when does the authority of the federal government come into play? Various states were reluctant to sign up with the union due to doubts relating to the federal government’s commitment to fulfilling their obligations. To enter into the union, states had to relinquish a significant portion of their autonomy and power. The concern was whether the federal government would genuinely safeguard and respect their rights.
They had just come out of the war with England, which breached their rights, and they paid a big price to get those rights back. When considering coming under a new authority, the federal government, they hesitated. What if you had a weak federal government that should safeguard the border? The states insisted on having the authority to be able to secure their borders against invaders. The initial step was to add the Bill of Rights because the states were pushing back, saying, “We don’t believe the federal government will constantly hold up its end of the bargain.
The situation unfolding at the southern border is a classic example of an invasion, mirroring China’s strategy during the Sino-Soviet border conflict. The People’s Republic of China aimed to overwhelm Russia by sending waves of people across the border, with the expectation that sheer numbers would lead to a swift collapse. Similarly, the influx of migrants pouring into Texas is a deliberate attempt to strain resources and undermine the rule of law, while the Biden administration turns a blind eye.
During the Biden administration, an estimated 6 million individuals who entered the country illegally have settled in various communities and cities across the United States. Some sources suggest that this figure could be as high as 10 million. Even considering the lower estimate of 8 million, it surpasses the population of 33 states in our country. Consequently, the Biden administration has effectively allowed the influx of a population equivalent to that of Colorado, Wisconsin, or Oregon, without proper knowledge of their identities.
Our government, through NGOs and public-private partnerships, is intentionally moving people from South America, Central America, Africa, China, Russia, Ukraine, the Middle East, and Mexico into the United States. This is all part of the United Nations and the World Economic Forum plan, which Joe Biden is fundamentally signed on for.
So what does this mean? Well, it means we are in a constitutional crisis. We have a state declaring its constitutional right to protect itself and the federal government saying no, it can’t.
Does Texas have the right to do this? Senator Ted Cruz says yes. Ron DeSantis has signed on. More and more states are signing on. They are arguing that the Constitution wouldn’t have been ratified in the first place if it left states defenseless against an inept and corrupt government. Texas certainly wouldn’t have signed on.
You have to understand that Texas isn’t a commonwealth. Texas was a republic. It’s the only one in the union. Texas had no reason to join the United States. It wanted to. This is why Texas, the Lone Star State, exudes a different attitude. Texans said, “We’ll join, but we’re still Texas.” They never would have joined the union if they didn’t have the right to supersede the government in protecting their borders when the government failed in its job. In light of this, Abbott is saying that Texas is upholding the law while Biden is flouting it.
