The Rasmussen Survey Shows that nearly ninety percent of Voters Think the Government Lies at least some of the Time. Almost 50% state they either do not believe them or that Government Officials Lie Most of the Time. Nearly 70% of younger voters believe they lie nearly always.

The survey suggests that 15 percent of likely voters believe government officials are untruthful whenever they speak. Another 33 percent of voters think that the government is deceitful most of the time. 80% believe that the government will lie to protect unpleasant events from being revealed to the people.
