According to the Secret Service whistleblower, the suspect would have been captured and stopped from firing a shot if authorities had acted faster.
Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, a Republican, revealed on Thursday that a whistleblower has advanced with claims lead-up to the tried assassination of ex-President Donald Trump.
“Alarming and upsetting revelations have recently emerged.”

Hawley described the allegations in a formal letter to Ronald Rowe, the acting Director of Directorecret Service, which he shared openly on the platform X.
The whistleblower alleges that the Secret Service’s Counter Surveillance Division (CSD), which is in charge of inspecting event locations beforehand, was not present at the rally and never conducted a “typical evaluation” prior to the event.
The source made stunning claim about Rowe, stating that he was at fault for the massive oversight as he “personally directed significant cuts to CSD.”
The new boss was directly responsible for cutting the countersurveillance team’s workforce by 20 percent, as per the whistleblower.

The letter says the whistleblower accused Rowe of personally cutting the workforce of the Secret Service Counter Surveillance Division by 20% and not divulging that information throughout his testament before Congress.
If the CSD had been allowed to perform its typical security jobs, according to the informant, the shooter would have been captured well before he had the chance to target former President Trump.
Further, the whistleblower declared that some officers alerted about security lapses on occasions before the shooting; however, instead of following the warnings, authorities struck back against the officers.
Sen. Hawleyley asked Rowe to furnish documents of policy updates carried out throughout his time in office, especially those impacting the CSD, and records of disciplinary actions against Secret Service workers.
Sen. Hawley pointed out that there are two ways to carry out an assassination. The first is to kill the target directly. The second is to allow security lapses so enormous that another party not connected to the Secret Service kills President Trump. Hawley says that the security lapses are so enormous, obvious, and blatant that they were knowingly and deliberately put in place by the Secret Service, hoping that one of the declared enemies of President Trump would achieve the Deep State’s goal of killing him. Trump said Hawley remains in mortal danger. Hawley further doubts that his investigation has discovered that the new Acting Director Rowe is the same person who ordered that Trump’s Protection be reduced to the level found on July 13.
