Philip H. Gordon, Kamala Harris’s national security advisor, appears to have worrying ties to an Iranian espionage operation that has stimulated a full investigation of the Biden-Harris government’s special envoy to Iran, Robert Malley. In a letter on Wednesday, Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) declare Gordan is connected to Ariane Tabatabai, a senior Defense Department official accused of participating in an Iranian impact operation.
Prior to becoming a member of your staff, Mr. Gordon co-wrote several opinion articles with Ms. Tabatabai that freely promoted for the Iranian government’s perspective and program, according to the letter from Cotton and Stefanik. The letter considers that in a 2020 article, Gordon and Tabatabai argued that preserving sanctions on Iran would have devastating effects. They cautioned that sanctions could provoke Iran to launch attacks on neighboring countries and American interests in the region. The editorials and opinion pieces clearly opposed the Trump Administration’s isolation and sanctions imposed on the Mad Mullah Regime. Removal of the sanction and other restrictions has allowed Iran to sell hundreds of billions of dollars worth of oil and gas used to finance its terror war against the US and Israel throughout the world. A full expose appeared in the New York Post and can be foundHERE.
The Republican lawmakers are inquiring from Harris about the circumstances surrounding Gordon’s hiring by the Vice President’s office, including whether she understood his connections to Tabatabai and the Iran Experts Initiative, a foreign impact operation allegedly controlled by the Iranian government’s Foreign Ministry.
Additionally, about the status of Gordon’s existing security clearance. Meanwhile, Cotton and Stefanik also scrutinized Harris over Tabatabai’s continued role at the Department of Defense, because of previously uncovered info by The National Pulse, which revealed that Tabatabai had actually acquired a security clearance to work as an assistant to Robert Malley, then Biden’s special envoy to Iran, before signing up with the Defense, Malley and stripped of his security clearance, pending more investigation.
