A New York appeals court Thursday renewed a gag order that barred previous President Donald Trump from commenting about court employees after he slandered a regulation staff in his New York civil fraud trial.

The decision from a four-judge panel came 2 weeks after a private appellate court had put the order on hold while the appeals procedure played out.

The trial judge, Arthur Engoron, imposed the gag order Oct. 3 after Trump published a demeaning remark concerning the court’s regulation clerk to social networks. The blog post, that included an unjustified allegation concerning the staff’s individual life, came the 2nd day of the trial in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ suit.

James alleges Trump overemphasized his wealth on economic declarations made use of to protect loans and make bargains. Trump, a Republican, refutes any kind of wrongdoing.

Engoron later fined Trump $15,000 for breaching the gag order and expanded it to include his lawyers after they questioned clerk Allison Greenfield’s prominent duty unemployed, where she sits along with the court, trading notes and advising him throughout testament.
