President-elect Donald Trump revealed Homan’s brand-new appointment via Truth Social on Sunday.
“I am pleased to reveal that the Former ICE Director and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration in charge of our Nation’s Borders (“The Border Czar”), consisting of, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security,” Trump wrote.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tom for several years, and I think he’s the most efficient person for protecting and managing our national borders. In Addition, Tom Homan will oversee the repatriation of undocumented immigrants to their native lands. I’d like to extend my warmest congratulations to Tom on this brand-new duty.
I am positive that he will perform excellently, satisfying the long-awaited expectations.

Jayapal attempted to disrupt Homan, declaring his designated speaking time had run out, however Homan promptly countered.
