Birthright Citizenship and “Chain” Immigration May Have Allowed Over 25 Million to Enter the USA Putting an Immense Burden on the Economy and Robbing US Citizens of their Birthright

Trump’s crucial executive order is the one that goes back to the American people’s right to determine who ends up being a citizen. The way things are now, that decision is put in the hands of illegal aliens, who are here against our will and in violation of our laws, or– when it comes to birth tourism– in the hands of the Chinese government.

Apart from trivialities such as there being no law, no court ruling, and no history to support dealing with kids born to illegals and tourists as “residents,” it’s outrageous that America would cede control over who becomes a resident to immigrants.

The media’s constant references to “birthright citizenship”– I’m taking a look at you, New York Times– deceptively suggest that the Constitution already contains a right to citizenship for anybody born here. There is no such right, and no sane nation would produce one.

The 14th Amendment, enacted after the Civil War to give previous slaves full citizenship status, is often mentioned as the constitutional basis for this right. It supposedly guarantees that all citizens are afforded the same benefits and securities.

Produce a theoretical situation for me – it doesn’t have to be based on actual events – where, right after the Civil War, Americans felt a strong desire to modify the Constitution in such a way that, a century later, a pregnant female from Honduras could cross the border, deliver, and automatically grant her child United States citizenship, together with access to all public assistance and instructional benefits, ultimately leading the way for the kid to sponsor numerous extra relatives to join them.

Are you saying that if an individual from another country enters our country without permission and delivers, their kid is not immediately a citizen? We are required to resolve that problem!

The Civil War Constitutional Amendments focused entirely on the issue of slavery, as the Supreme Court’s repeated decisions confirm.

The task was to compose an amendment stating that formerly enslaved people were citizens– without acknowledging the institution of slavery, an embarrassment in a nation founded on the idea that all men are equal before the law.

To describe previous slaves, the drafters selected the phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” At that point, recently released enslaved people had been “based on the jurisdiction” of the US for nearly a century. (By contrast, if we don’t even know you’re here, you can’t undergo our “jurisdiction.”)

In a noteworthy and contentious decision, the Supreme Court’s ruling in United States v. Wong Kim Ark approved citizenship rights under the 14th Amendment for the children of Chinese immigrants who were lawfully living there. This relocation was especially striking, as the two decades prior remained in effect and would continue for several years, highlighting a seeming detachment between the Court’s decision and the dominant attitudes of the time.

The judgment because the case was most likely flawed, as the Yale Law Journal pointed out at the time, but regardless, it is unimportant to Trump’s executive order, which specifically targets undocumented immigrants and visitors, not people with lawful residency status.

Something Wong Kim Ark didn’t do was grant a constitutional right of citizenship to anyone who happens to be born here. First, kids born to diplomats were omitted.

Progressives have bullied Americans into believing that the post-Civil War amendments had nothing to do with slavery. Forget the Middle Passage, Gettysburg, Ulysses S. Grant, and the 600,000 men dead as a result– they claim Americans rushed to include these amendments to the Constitution just after a bloody civil war to ensure the joy and wellness of illegal aliens.

It’s a familiar pattern with the left: a ludicrous concept morphs into a fundamental right in the blink of an eye. We had a mountain of proof—the victim’s body, eyewitness testimony, fingerprints, and even a confession. However, a vital oversight was found: the suspect’s Miranda rights weren’t read. Suddenly, the case collapsed, and the wrongdoer was released.

Under the concept of “birthright citizenship,” individuals who pose a risk to nationwide security, exploit the welfare system, or take part in espionage and terrorism can gain citizenship for their children just by averting border control and setting foot on US soil, thus obtaining citizenship for their offspring. In 2023, the DHS estimated that illegals gave birth to about 230,000 babies, nearly 8% of all births. Based on these figures, it is likely that there will be at least 3 million anchor babies. Each can bring in relatives, adding millions of LEGAL immigrants to be supported by our taxpayer dollars. It is further estimated that legal “chain” immigrants now total about 15 million. They are not illegals, but most are what we can generally describe as “useless eaters” and pose a massive drain on the entire US economy.

The USA has 50 million illegals (Yes, there may be more), with most of them useless eaters that are costing the economy upwards of 5 Trillion A year when you take into account all of the damage they cause. For example, each child costs about $50,000 to educate, feed, medical care, etc. They send home almost a trillion dollars yearly in remittances to their home country. If you use five as the velocity of money, that’s 5 trillion dollars of economic activity, and our economy loses yearly. Then you add up all direct and indirect costs, at least 5 Trillion.

Remember that House seats are awarded based on population, including illegals. The blue states would lose about 40 House seats, and the illegal voting problem would be solved. It must be further noted that removing these illegals will be expensive as well, but it will be a one-time cost. The expense involved in arresting, detaining, and returning an illegal to his home country could cost as much as $50,000 each, meaning that the removal of all 50 million would be a one-time cost of about $2.5 trillion. It is an immense cost but one that would save the 5 trillion economic impact their presence inflicts on the US economy year after year.
The better half of the world’s biggest drug lord, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, Emma Coronel– herself an anchor child– briefly left the cartel’s hideout in Mexico in 2011 to give birth in California, for the express function of forcing this nation to accept her twins as “American residents.” It’s like gold chain migration.

Unfortunately for the left, Trump is not, in fact, a totalitarian. His executive order on citizenship is to begin his presidency with a bang; however, given current history, Republicans undoubtedly compare. However, it will be withdrawn on Day One by the next Democrat to be in the Ovalwithdrawnongress required to make it law.

Cobes unquestionably has the power to anchor children and birth tourism babies from US citizenship. As legal huge Judge Richard Posner said in a concurring opinion 20 years earlier, “This guideline [that birth on US soil confers citizenship], though believed by some obliged by Section 1 of the 14th Amendment … makes no sense. … The function of the guideline was to grant citizenship to the recently released servants … Congress would not be flouting the Constitution if it changed the Immigration and Nationality Act to put an end to the rubbish.”
