The Criminal Action Fueling the Fires
By John Livingston
December 9, 2025

Since Wednesday, a massive wildfire, fueled by powerful 70-89 mph gusts, has been devastating the LA area. Over 80,000 residents have been forced to evacuate as firefighters battle to contain the inferno. The urgency of the situation cannot be overstated.

An unprecedented catastrophe has struck the LA area, plunging numerous homes and businesses into darkness. This harmful natural catastrophe continues to wreak havoc, capturing the nation’s attention. Many are offering their support to the courageous firefighters battling the blaze. However, it’s hard to ignore the fact that the location’s emergency responders could have been better equipped to handle the crisis if essential resources had not been redirected to Ukraine in previous years, as reported in local news outlets.

Woke, Commie, Leftist Karen Bass Cut Firefighting Budget by 18 Million and Sent Millions of Dollar of Firefighting Equipment to Ukraine

In the past two years, Millions of dollars of critical firefighting equipment have been sent to Ukraine. At the same time, the firefighting budget has been sliced by at least 18 million, and struct DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) hiring practices have been instituted in this once great city that has been entirely seized by the organized mafia that masquerades as the Democratic Uniparty. These hiring practices, while important for promoting diversity, may have inadvertently led to a decrease in the number of experienced firefighters, exacerbating the crisis.
The Los Angeles City and County budgets are hollowed out by contracts and hiring practices that wholly benefit the Democratic mafia that runs the city and county. Recently, the City Council announced they would forgo federal funds rather than submit to the Trump administration’s anticipated demand they assist with the deportation of millions of illegals who currently reside in the City and County, costing taxpayers incredible amounts of additional taxes. In other words, Los Angeles is a ruined landscape.

The practice started at the beginning of the Russian conflict and has continued occasionally for the past few years. It involves shipping expensive items such as firetrucks to foreign countries.

The Biden administration’s ill-conceived foreign policy technique, which puts Ukraine’s requirements above America’s, is having extreme and significant effects, eventually damaging the wellness of the American people. On the other hand, a disastrous series of wildfires is sweeping through Los Angeles County, with some explaining it as one of the most devastating natural catastrophes in California’s history. Numerous blazes have broken out, sustained by effective gusts rapidly spreading the flames. The Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst fires are the most harmful, causing widespread devastation that is nothing short of breathtaking.

Over the last few years, large wildfires have become very common in California. However, what we are experiencing today is genuinely frightening. The following are 12 things you should know about the apocalyptic “typhoon of fire” rampaging through southern California.

# 1 The Palisades Fire has damaged nearly 1,000 buildings and homes.

More than a thousand homes, services, and other buildings have been engulfed in flames, and at least two lives have been lost in the wildfires that are scorching communities throughout Los Angeles County. This is undeniably one of the most devastating firestorms to strike the region in recent memory, and the impact on the local community is profound.

Since Wednesday morning, the Palisades fire in Pacific Palisades has burned over 5,000 acres and reached the Pacific Coast Highway, damaging homes along the famous roadway. During a news conference early Wednesday morning, L.A. County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone reported that around 1,000 structures, including various houses, have been lost in the fire.

# 2 As I compose this post, we are being informed that the Palisades Fire, the Eaton Fire, and the Hurst Fire all zero percent consisted of …

Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced a state of emergency due to the difficulties firefighters face in containing the fires, which are currently at 0% containment. Images from the affected areas show homes being consumed by fire, with various homes at risk. A large part of Los Angeles is covered in smoke.

# 3 Blazing wildfires are rapidly jumping from area to place, fueled by powerful gusts reaching 80 miles per hour.

According to Fieweger, strong winds reaching speeds between 50 to 70 miles per hour are anticipated for parts of Southern California, with some locations experiencing gusts as high as 80 miles per hour. Areas such as Santa Clarita and Riverside are expected to be impacted. The mountains may even see wind speeds of as much as 100 mph, as per AccuWeather’s Local StormMax â„¢ forecast.

Lots of hurricane-force wind gusts have been recorded since Wednesday morning. “For example, Hollywood Burbank Airport tape-recorded a peak gust around 9 p.m. PST of 71 miles per hour,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Danielle Ehresman stated, “Additionally, gusts approaching 100 miles per hour were taped above 2,000 feet in the Santa Monica and San Gabriel mountains Tuesday night.”

# 4 Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass cut the city’s fire spending plan by 17.6 million dollars …

So, how did something like this occur? Well, reports suggest the powers that be refused to fill the tanks. And get this—while this is all unfolding, we’re finding that DEI Mayor Karen Bass made massive budget cuts to the fire department, which is strange, considering California’s most popular season is called “Fire.”

Karen Bass cut the fire department’s funding by $17.6 million, leaving the department with a severe shortage of personnel and equipment. Meanwhile, the Gay fire chief prioritizes hiring from LGBTQ mobs, most of whom are substandard firefighters.

# 5 “Mayor Karen” is not even in Los Angeles today. As her city burns, she is in Ghana …

Furious Los Angeles locals tore into their missing Mayor Karen Bass, who was 7,400 miles away in Africa on a political trip, as raving fires turned the City of Angels into an apocalyptic hellscape Tuesday.

“A commenter on a social network post from Bass’ office, which offered an update on the wildfires, angrily required that Bass step down, questioning
Bass traveled with three other individuals to Ghana for the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama, who was elected in 2015.

# 6 It is reported that the disaster zone hydrants are running dry …

According to Rick Caruso, Los Angeles fire hydrants are OUT OF WATER because the county REFUSED to refill reservoirs.
“You can’t combat a fire without water!”
The Mayor did ZERO prep despite the sophisticated caution of winds and fire danger.

That’s precisely what occurred in Maui!
# 7 Reporter Matthew Seedorff was there when a hydrant on Lachman Lane ran entirely dry …

Around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters used a hydrant on Lachman Lane when it ran dry. You can hear what sounds like air pushing out; there is, but there is no water.

Amy Mek specified that the Santa Ynez and Upper Stone Canyon reservoirs were not supplying sufficient water to the fire hydrants.

How might fire-prone Los Angeles hydrants—our first line of defense—be needed most? Houses are being reduced to ash, not because firefighters lack skill or bravery, but because there is no water to eliminate the flames.

Queries LADWP Needs to Address:
What is preventing reservoirs such as Santa Ynez and Upper Stone Canyon from providing enough water?

Were maintenance or fill-up procedures overlooked ahead of wildfire season?
What contingency strategies were in place for such an emergency?

# 9 Rick Caruso is blaming aging infrastructure for the lack of water …

Rick Caruso, a billionaire real estate developer and former commissioner of the city’s water board, pointed to the reservoirs linked to the hydrants as the source of the issue. “This is a window into a systemic problem of the city—not only of mismanagement, but our infrastructure is old,” stated Caruso, who ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Los Angeles in 2022.

I recently wrote a short article about America’s collapsing infrastructure. Today, we are experiencing an ideal example of how the neglect of our political leaders can have severe consequences.

# 10 Instead of concentrating on DEI, Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley must have focused more on fighting fires.

Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley has been acknowledged by regional ABC7 as the first LGBTQ+ person to lead the department. Instead of focusing on fire-fighting operations, it has focused on developing the “Los Angeles Fire Department’s preliminary Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Bureau (DEI),” which aims to create a safe, diverse, and inclusive environment for all staff members.

# 11 In 2024, large insurers such as State Farm and Allstate canceled great deals on home insurance plans in Los Angeles County …

State Farm has a new insurance plan in California to reduce possible financial losses. The plan mentions concerns over the high risk of devastating events like wildfires.

Newsweek reported that State Farm, a private insurer in California, disclosed in April 2024 that it had terminated 72,000 policies in the state, 30,000 of which were for homes. Many policyholders resided in upscale, high-risk locations in Los Angeles County, currently affected by the Palisades fire.

The Palisades Fire destroyed the actor James Woods’s house. He mentioned that the insurance provider had terminated all the policies in his community approximately four months earlier.

About four months earlier, the leading insurance provider ended all policies in our location.

# 12 The Palisades Fire has already been designated “the most damaging fire in Los Angeles history.” …

The Associated Press reported that after ruining roughly 1,000 homes and structures, the Palisades Fire—which the California Fire Department did not cover —is now the most devastating in Los Angeles history.

The Sayre Fire in November 2008 previously held that record after it ruined 604 structures in Sylmar, a northern suburb of Los Angeles.

This event will be remembered for generations to come as a destructive and unprecedented disaster.

We should grieve for the lives that have been lost.

We need to express sympathy for those who have lost their homes. President-elect Trump has drawn attention to the shortage of emergency crews at the location.

At the same time that California is experiencing wildfires, President Biden is rapidly allocating billions of taxpayer dollars to Ukraine.

And Biden is still preparing a huge last aid to prepare for Ukraine so that as much as possible goes into Kyiv’s coffers before Trump is sworn in on Jan. 20. How about diverting a few of those billions to genuine United States people in LA?
